The Sorceress by Michael Scott

By Erika Ayala Platinum Quality Author

The Sorceress by Michael Scott is another science fiction novel from the Irish author. If you're a fan of the whole science fiction thing and if you're amazed at that kind of stuff, you'll probably enjoy this book by Michael Scott. But if you're wondering who the heck is Michael Scott that you should even bother to look his name up and read his book, apparently he's done a lot of writing in the past decades.

Michael Scott, based on the number of novels and short stories he had written, is a prolific writer. And his genres are very wide, ranging from science fiction to horror to fantasy for young-adults to folklore. His first published works were the result of traveling for years in many parts of Ireland.

He has particularly taken special interest in writing science fiction novels, and The Sorceress is actually the sixth installment in the series The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel. Truthfully, there are too many fantasy and science fiction novels already out in the market, all concerning about wizards and sorcerers and magic and whatnot, that it's difficult to get excited and expect something more or something else with novels such as Michael Scott's.

The Sorceress centers about Nicholas Flamel and his adventures, saving friends and battling villains. The plot is just like any other plot in any other science fiction novel, but to give something to Michael Scott, there are little things about the novel that are commendable.

For instance, the novel incorporates characters that are either a part of history or mythology. Some of these characters that are present in the book include Gilgamesh, Witch of Endor, and of course Nicholas Flamel himself. If there is something about The Sorceress to look forward to, it's probably just the fact that Michael Scott has written it.
